There are so many ways to help, so let’s begin here. I am looking for pencils and erasers that are stuffing your junk drawers, under your couches, or ones that you simply think are just unusable. They can be of great use to the children of developing countries. These materials will be distributed to schools in various Third World countries such as India and Belize. As Tools for Schools continues to grow, we hope to bring more recycled school supplies to other less fortunate areas of the world. Children are just waiting for anything that they can get their hands on.In my travels to the rural mountains of Northern India, I experienced firsthand the desperate need for all things basic. The poverty is extreme and the distance is way beyond reach for children and adults as travel is done on foot in the Himalayas. Children are not being educated enough in the rural mountains because most people do not have the money to spend on text books or pencils and basic materials. I thought that since we are able to help and are fortunate enough, we can deliver light weight school supplies to the deserving children. Thank you for listening and please send as many recycled pencils and/or erasers to Tools for Schools P.O. Box 913 Brunswick, Maine 04011
